well if the car had a regular roof to begin with then you more than likely would not have to deal with leaking... people who buy convertibles and live in vancouver are just asking to either get rained on or have leaking cars. Convertables belong in california or florida where it is sunny more than rainy....it is more image than functional in Vancouver...
As a former convertible owner I must disagree with you, dragonfly. After driving throughout BC, Washington, Oregon and California with the top down I determined that Vancouver has prime convertibling weather. When it's sunny, it's very comfortable. The wind is the cool breeze you'd expect. California actually gets so hot that top-down driving can be painful. Both Assbeard and Bee can attest to that.
It rains everywhere but when it's sunny, Vancouver can't be beat for comfort.
my car leaks from the t-tops AND the radiator.. beat that! lol.. effin hunk o' junk
hehehe look at my man gettin all technical.. although it's true.. even Texas at the end of November was painfully hot.. If we were in a convertible we would have been barbecued! lol
I love having my car in the summer, Vancouver has beautiful weather in the summer for having a convertable. But even here there were days where it was just far too hot to be able to have the top down. I couldn't imagine being in California, stuck in traffic & being burnt & heat exhausted because of driving a convertable.
Besides, from right about now, through to the end of the summer, I get a lot of time where I can have my top down. I definately don't mind putting up with the 2 months of solid rain in the winter for that trade off :)
