The old PC gaming ship is sinking fast
I was clicking around A-power's (A local computer store) web page and I found this the ATI Fire GL X3 video card for $1255.57 cnd. It got me wondering what video game equipment I could buy for that.
$219.99 - X-Box (MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf Bundle)
$179.99 - PS2
$99.99 - Gamecube
$199.99 - DS
$249.99 - Prima Q2716 27" Virtual Flat Screen TV
$299.99 - JVC TH-S2 1-Disc Home Theatre System with 5 speakers and sub
total $1249.94
Keep this up computer industry and the home consoles will completely take over. Ati is not worried they are making both Nintendo's and Microsoft's next console’s video cards. What about people making games for the PC. Well, they are fucked.

Nevermind the fact that the fire GL cards are not gaming cards at all. these are professional level 3D graphics cards meant for 3d modelers and such. They probably wouldn't work well with games because they don't have drivers that work with what the game publishes use. But even still... some games cards go for $700 and they're ridiculous.
